TRAVEL FUND
Crews participating at Soul on Top travel far and pay their trips out of their own pockets. The Travel Fund was created to help
some crews finance their journeys to Soul on Top. The money in the fund is raised by donations. Crews are able to apply for support if they meet the conditions
of application. Out of all the crews that have applied for support a commission of the AbsTracks Association will decide which crews will be supported. The decision will be taken in light of
crews' skills and the length and cost of their trips.
Travel Fund (Friday 19th of April 2013): CHF 398.40

APPLICATIONS
Application for support from the Travel Fund is now closed. Applications for support
could be sent until Sunday 20th of January 2013. From all the crews that have applied for help from the Travel Fund, a
commission of four members of the AbsTracks Association has, in step one, decided which crews receive support. In
step two, the commission then determined how much support is awarded to the crews selected in step one. The
decision was made public on Friday 1st of February 2013.
The following crews have made applications for support from the Travel Fund:
1. Sd Mambo (Madrid, Spain)
2. Local Legendz (Leuven/Antwerp, Belgium)
3. Frontlinez (Canada/USA/Spain/France/Japan)
4. Mad Skillz Crew/Sinior Family (Szeczecin, Poland)
Out of these four crews we chose to support the following two:
1. Frontlinez (Canada/USA/Spain/France/Japan) are awarded CHF 400.-
2. Mad Skillz Crew/Sinior Family (Szeczecin, Poland) are awarded CHF 250.-
CONDITIONS
Only crews that have to travel more than 300 km as the crow flies could apply for support from the Travel Fund.
The circle shown on the following map has a radius of 300 km. Click here to see the:
Map.
The maximum amount that can be awarded per crew are CHF 500 (fivehundred Swiss Francs). The selected crews will only receive the
awarded money if they show up and participate at Soul on Top. The money will be wired to a bank account of their choosing on Sunday 10th of March 2013. The selected
crews are themselves responsible for organizing their trips to Soul on Top, including accomodation, food and eventually required visas. We don't pay for their trips,
for accomodation or food. By applying for support the crews are not automatically registered to participate at Soul on Top. If they want to participate regardless of
being supported by the Travel Fund they still have to register as all other crews. We will keep spaces open for the crews that actually get supported by the Travel Fund.
SELECTION
The crews that will receive support will be chosen from all crews that have applied for support by a commission of four members of the AbsTracks Association.
The commission decides freely. The decision will be made public on a given date. There is no guarantee that a crew that has applied for help will receive support.
The commission's decision of who gets how much is not contestable. The decision will be taken in light of the crews' skills and the length and cost of their trips. This however does
not mean that the best crew with the longest and costliest trip will be supported. We are trying to use the money that has been put at our disposal efficiently and fairly.
