BATTLE MODE
Soul on Top VI is a 5 vs. 5 b-boy/b-girl battle. Each
participating crew has to be made of exactly five b-boys or b-girls. The winning crew
will get CHF 1000.- (onethousand Swiss Francs).
This year up to 32 crews will be able to compete. The battle is strictly organized
in a K.O. mode. There will be no battles with three crews and no show battles either.
After each battle the victorious crew, picked by the judges, will advance to
the next round. The crews to battle each other in the first round will be randomly drawn.
The battle consists of five rounds: the
1/
16
finals with thirtytwo crews, the
1/
8 finals with sixteen crews,
the
1/
4 finals with eight crews, the
1/
2
finals with four crews and the final round with two crews. In the
1/
16, the
1/
8
and the
1/
4 finals two battles will be held at the same time in two different circles.
In all other rounds all battles will be held one after the other in the main circle. In the
1/
16,
the
1/
8 and the
1/
4 finals each battle will be judged by three judges, in the other rounds each battle will be judged by six judges.
If less than thirtytwo crews show up, the judges will
pick the best among the crews that lost in the
1/
16
finals so that there will be a guaranteed sixteen crews in the
1/
8 finals.
The
1/
16 finals, the
1/
8 finals and
the
1/
4 finals will dure eight minutes, the
1/
2
finals and the final round will dure ten minutes.
RULES
1. Don't endanger the competing dancers. 2. Touching is not allowed and may
lead to disqualification. 3. Each dancer has to withhold entering the circle unless the
